Sinopsis: «Junito» denuncia y defiende la tolerancia de la comunidad LGBT. La película muestra cómo una familia trata con las tendencias homosexuales de uno de sus hijos.

Synopsis: “Junito” denounces and advocates for tolerance of the LGBT community. The film shows how a family deals with the homosexual tendencies of one of its sons.

Biografía: Adriana González-Vega nació en Bayamón, Puerto Rico. En 2012, obtuvo la titulación de bachillerato de bellas artes en Cine de la Universidad de Siracusa y realizó un semestre en el extranjero,  Grado de cine y televisión en la escuela de artes escenicas Praga, República Checa. Su tesis de licenciatura «Frente al mar» ganó la Mejor Película Estudiantil en el Carmel Art and Film Festival 2012 y la Mejor Actriz en Cinefiesta 2012, y la selección oficial en el Montreal World Film Festival 2012. Sus experiencias cinematográficas y de entretenimiento han incluido prácticas en Mandalay Entertainment Group, la comedia  «Rules of Engagement», Badillo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, «Fast and Furious: Fast Five» y Paradiso Films. En 2015, se graduó del American Film Institute con un master de bellas artes en dirección de cine además de recibir la beca Time Warner Fellowship. Su película de tesis «AKA Amber» se estrenó en el Cinequest Film Festival 2016. González-Vega está desarrollando actualmente una serie web basada en su cortometraje «Conception», así como otros dos largometrajes.

Biography: Adriana González-Vega was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. In 2012, she received a BFA in Film from Syracuse University and did a semester abroad at FAMU in the Czech Republic. Her undergraduate thesis film “Frente al mar” (“Oceanfront”) won the Best Student Film at Carmel Art and Film Festival 2012 and Best Actress at Cinefiesta 2012, and official selection at the Montreal World Film Festival 2012. Her film and entertainment experiences have included internships at Mandalay Entertainment Group, the sitcom “Rules of Engagement”, Badillo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, “Fast and Furious: Fast Five” and Paradiso Films. In 2015, she graduated from the American Film Institute with a MFA in Film Directing, as well as receiving the Time Warner Fellowship. Her thesis film “AKA Amber” premiered at the Cinequest Film Festival 2016. González-Vega is currently developing a web series based on her short film “Conception,” as well as two other feature films.
