Sinopsis: Tom conoce a Simon, un refugiado camerunés, en una aplicación de ligues. Tienen una corta pero apasionada relación, esperan encontrar una vida mejor, felicidad y amor. Sin embargo, Tom se da cuenta de que esta relación tiene un gran impacto en su propia vida y debe hacer una difícil elección…

Synopsis: Tom meets Simon, a Cameroon refugee on a dating app. They have a short but passional relationship…they hope to find a better life, happiness and love. However, Tom realizes that this relationship has a huge impact on his own life and is forced to make a difficult choice…

Biografía:  Guido Verelst obtuvo un Master en Literatura francesa en la Universidad de Antwerp, y después estudió Teatro y Cine en la Universidad de Estrasburgo.Tiene también un Master de la ‘Brussels Film School INSAS’ en Dirección. Desde el año 2000, ha trabajado como director, productor y editor freelance bajo el nombre ‘Deep Focus’. En 1997 su corto “Hadewijch” ganó el Premio de Mejor Cinematografía en el Festival de Namit, en Bélgica, y en 2012 recibió el Premio al mejor principiante por su fashion film “Showroom Belgium-London Fashion Week” en el Berlin Fashion Film Festival. Con el corto “Skai Blue”, Guido vuelve a sus raíces del cine de ficción y está preparando un largometraje con la misma historia.

Biography:

Guido Verelst earned a Master’s in French literature at the Antwerp University, and afterwards, studied theater and film at the Université de Strasbourg. He earned a Master’s from Brussels Film School INSAS in directing. Since 2000, he has worked as a freelance director, editor and producer under the name DEEP FOCUS. In 1997, Guido’s short fiction “Hadewijch” gets the award for best cinematography at the short film festival in Namur, Belgium, and in 2012 he receives the award for best newcomer for his fashion film “Showroom Belgium – London Fashion Week” at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival. With the short film “Skai Blue”, Guido is returning to his roots in the medium of fiction filmmaking and is preparing a feature film based on the same story.
