Sinopsis: Esta es la historia de Niko, quien tras haber vivido su sexualidad libremente en Madrid, se ve forzado a volver a su país de Europa del Este para cuidar de su madre enferma. Sin embargo, pronto se dará cuenta del motivo real de su regreso. No place like home es un viaje devastador que echa luz sobre la discriminación sufrida por el colectivo LGBTI en numerosas partes del mundo.

Synopsis: This is the story of Niko, a boy who, after living in complete freedom his sexuality in Madrid, is forced to return to his Eastern European country to take care of his mother, who has fallen ill. However, he will soon realize the real motive behind his return. ‘No Place like Home’ is a shocking journey that highlights the realities of discrimination suffered by LGBTI people in many parts of the world.

Biografía: Movido por un sentimiento de inquietud artística, el cineasta español David Velduque empieza a estudiar Arte Dramático en San Francisco a los dieciséis años; estudios que continúa tras su regreso a Madrid y a los que suma, Comunicación Audiovisual. Tras incrementar su formación como actor y director en el Lee Strasberg Film Institute de Nueva York, comienza sus proyectos como director de cortometrajes. En 2013, Velduque funda NEURADS, a través de la cual dirige y produce contenido para diversas marcas. Tras el éxito de su cortometraje Por un beso (2016), el cineasta presenta ahora No place like home.

Biography: Led by a sense of artistic restlessness, Spanish filmmaker David Velduque began studying Dramatic Art in San Francisco at the age of 16. Upon his return to Madrid, he compiled his studies in Audiovisual Communication with those of Dramatic Art. Additionally, he enhanced his artistic study in acting and directing and the Lee Strasberg Film Institute in New York, during which he gained his first experiences as a director of short films. In order to maintain a level of creative control, in 2013, Velduque founded NEURADS, through which he produces and directs content for several brands. Following the success of his 2016 short film, ‘Por un beso’, Velduque presents ‘No place like home’.
