Sinopsis: Un encuentro casual se vuelve íntimo cuando Sami, refugiado sirio de Damasco, conoce a Johan. A lo largo de una noche en Amsterdam, los dos hombres se enfrentarán a verdades y a inquietantes secretos acerca de los dos mundos tan diferentes de donde proceden.

Synopsis: A casual hookup takes an intimate turn when Sami, a Syrian refugee from Damascus, meets Johan. In the course of a night in Amsterdam, the two men will confront some truths, and unsettling secrets, about the very different worlds they come from.

Biografía: Nish Gera es un escritor y cineasta residente en Bélgica. Posee una columna en el Huffington Post donde habla sobre derechos LGBT y viajes. Scar Tissue es su segundo guión y su debut en la dirección, tras haber trabajado en numerosas producciones. Nish ha colaborado en diversas causas sociales relacionadas con el activismo LGBT y es el fundador de Photos for Hope, una organización que nace con el objetivo de recaudar fondos y generar sensibilización acerca de la educación de niños y niñas desfavorecidas en la India mediante la fotografía. Como parte de esta colaboración, ha comisariado varias exposiciones fotográficos a lo largo de EEUU.

Biography: Nish Gera is a writer and filmmaker currently based in Belgium. For the last four years, Nish has been writing a regular column for The Huffington Post on international LGBT rights and travel. ‘Scar Tissue’ is his second screenplay and directorial debut, after having been involved in several productions of varying scale. Nish has been involved in a variety of social causes related to LGBT activism and was the founder of Photos for Hope, an organization aiming to raise funds and awareness for the cause of education of underprivileged children in India through the medium of photography. As part of this, he curated several photography exhibitions across the US.
