Sinopsis: Una ‘road movie’ feminista, un viaje al corazón del feminismo global. En 2015, Myriam Fougère se une a un grupo de jóvenes activistas unidas en una caravana que recorre veinte países de Europa, de Turquía a Portugal, pasando por los Balcanes, Italia y España. Como un soplo de solidaridad, Feminista es una excepcional mirada al creciente feminismo, no siempre entendido y reconocido. Es posiblemente uno de los mayores y más vivos movimientos políticos de nuestro mundo actual.

Synopsis: Feminista is a feminist road movie, a journey to the heart of global feminism. In 2015, Myriam Fougère joined a group of young activists who had formed a caravan to travel across twenty European countries – from Turkey to Portugal, by the way of the Balkans, to Italy and Spain. As a breath of solidarity, Feminista provides a rare glimpse into a widespread feminist groundswell movement, possibly one of the largest, least understood and unrecognized mass political movements that is very much alive throughout the world today.

Biografía: Myriam Fougère grabó, dirigió y editó “Lesbiana- A Parallel Revolution”. Estrenado en 2012, este histórico documental sobre el auge y caída del movimiento lésbico en Quebec y los Estados Unidos en los ochenta se proyectó en más de 60 festivales internacionales. Inspirada por esa experiencia, y de nuevo como directora, operadora de cámara y editora, Myriam se dirige con su último film, Feminista, a la nueva generación de activistas. Un film que nos muestra cómo el feminismo vive y respira hoy en día.

Biography: Myriam Fougère shot, directed and edited “Lesbiana–A Parallel Revolution”. Released in 2012, this historical documentary about the rise and fall of the lesbian movement in Quebec and United States in the 1980s screened at more than sixty international film festivals. Inspired by that experience, once again as director, cameraperson and editor of her latest film Feminista, Myriam turns to the newest generation of feminist activists to document how feminism lives and breathes today.
