Sinopsis: Anu, casada a una edad muy temprana, como era costumbre en el Taiwán de la década de los setentas, y tuvo dos hijas. Anu pronto se divorció de su marido violento y crió a su hijas sola. Desde entonces sólo ha tenido relaciones románticas con mujeres que, como ella, se ganan la vida como profesionales del duelo en los funerales.

Synopsis: Anu, married off at a young age, as was customary in Taiwan in the 1970s, and had two children, Anu soon divorced her violent husband and raised her daughtersalone. Since then her only romantic relationships have been with women whom, like her, earn a living as professional mourners at funerals.

Biografía: Hui-Chen Huang nace en Taiwán en 1978, a los seis años empezó a ayudar a su madre en su trabajo como una sacerdotisa taoísta en las procesiones fúnebres. Ella tuvo que dejar la escuela muy pronto para ayudar a su madre soltera y aprendió a leer y escribir de los cómics y la televisión. A los 20 años se convirtió en activista política y trabajó con organizaciones sindicales y empezó a hacer películas documentales. Sus cortometrajes, que se centran en la difícil situación de los trabajadores del hogar y migrantes en Taiwán se han proyectado en numerosos festivales internacionales.

Biography: Hui-Chen Huang Born in Taiwan in 1978, at the age of six she began supporting her mother in her work as a Taoist priestess in funeral processions. She had to leave school in the third grade to help her single parent make ends meet and learnt to read and write from comic books and television. At 20 she became a political activist and worked with labour organisations and unions as well as beginning to make documentary films. Her short films, which focus on the plight of domestic and migrant workers in Taiwan, have screened at numerous international festivals.
