Sinopsis: Personas árabes LGTB envían a Helem Montreal The Migrant Mixtape, una serie de cartas grabadas. En éstas se pide apoyo para encontrar asilo en Canadá con el propósito de escapar de las persecuciones y la violencia homófoba en su país de origen. Una de esas personas, Adib Mardini, consiguió el asilo en Canadá, y nos cuenta el proceso que cambió su vida.

Synopsis: Arab LGBT individuals send Helem Montreal the Migrant Mixtape, a series of recorded letters. They are asking for support to seek asylum in Canada in order to escape persecution and homophobic violence in their country of origin. One of them, Adib Mardini, having managed to become a refugee in Canada, tells us about the process that changed his life.

Biografía: Eli Jean Tahchi es un director, guionista, cineasta, editor, y actor nacido y criado en Líbano. Eli Jean estudió cine en la Academie libanaise des beaux arts (ALBA) y se graduó en producción cinematográfica. En 2011 se mudó a Montreal e hizo un master en cine para el cual realizó una tesis sobre el espacio sacrificial femenino en las películas de Lars von Trier, además de ser colocado en la lista de horror del decano por su película ‘She is Lars’.

Biography: Eli Jean Tahchi is a lebanese director, screenwriter, experimental filmmaker, editor, and actor born and raised in Lebanon. Eli Jean studied Cinema in the Academie libanaise des beaux arts (ALBA) and earned a bachelor degree in film production. He moved to Montreal (Canada) in 2011 to attend the University of Montreal where he earned an excellent master’s degree and was placed on the dean’s honor list for his movie SHE IS LARS and his thesis the sacrificial female space in the films of Lars von Trier.
