Sinopsis: Una célula terrorista feminista planea la liberación de las mujeres, derrocar el patriarcado e instaurar un nuevo orden mundial femenino. El grupo está liderado por la Gran Madre, quien dirige una colegio para chicas rebeldes como tapadera de esta célula. Un día, un activista de extrema izquierda llega al colegio huyendo de la policía, una de las alumnas se apiada de él y decide esconderlo en el sótano. Su presencia alterará la convivencia del grupo, revelando impactantes secretos.

Synopsis: The misandrists refers to a secret cell of feminist terrorists that is planning to liberate women, overthrow the patriarchy, and usher in a new female world order. The group is led by Big Mother, who operates a school for wayward girls in the countryside as a front for a radical terrorist cell. When a young man, a radical leftist, who is running from the police, happens upon this remote female stronghold, one of the girls takes pity on him and hides him in the basement. His presence eventually disrupts the household and reveals a number of unexpected secrets.

Biografía: Bruce LaBruce es un director, fotógrafo, guionista y artista aclamado internacionalmente establecido en Toronto. Además de haber dirigido un gran número de cortometrajes, ha escrito y dirigido nueve largometrajes, incluyendo “Gerontophilia”, su obra más reciente, ganadora del Grand Prix en el Festival du Nouveau Cinema de Montreal en el 2013; y “Pierrot Lunaire”, que ganó el Teddy especial del jurado en la Berlinale del 2014. En su faceta de artista visual, se encuentra representado por Peres Projects en Berlín, habiendo expuesto en multitud de galerías alrededor del mundo, y siendo Obscenity, su última exposición de fotografía, causante de un tremendo revuelo  en España.

Biography: Bruce LaBruce is an internationally acclaimed filmmaker, photographer, writer, and artist based in Toronto. Along with a number of short films, he has written and directed nine feature films, including his most recent, Gerontophilia, which won the Grand Prix at the Festival du Nouveau Cinema in Montreal in 2013, and Pierrot Lunaire, which won the Teddy Award Special Jury Prize at the Berlinale in 2014. As a visual artist he is represented by Peres Projects in Berlin, and has had numerous gallery shows around the world, the latest of which, called Obscenity, a photography exhibit, caused a national ruckus in Spain in 2011.
