Biografía:
Anna Boluda es periodista y realizadora de vídeo y vive en Barcelona. Tras su paso por diversas productoras y medios de comunicación, en 2004 se va a Nueva York para hacer un máster de documentales en New York University con una beca Fulbright. Allí realizó "Queer Spawn", su primer trabajo como directora. En "Homo Baby Boom" ha abordado el mismo tema que en su primer trabajo, pero ahora en su propio país y con una gran sensación de proximidad que se transmite también en la película.

Biography:
Anna Boluda is a journalist and documentary filmmaker. She lives in Barcelona. After
working for some TV stations and production companies, she moved to NY in 2004 to get a
MA in Broadscast Journalism and Documentary at New York University. Her final project,
"Queer Spawn", was a documentary about families with gay or lesbian parents in the US.
She has adressed the same topic again with "Homo Baby Boom", but now in her own
country. Her main goal has been to increase the visibility of these families in order to
reduce prejudices –which is actually the basis of all her work.

Sinopsis: Hay más de diez millones de personas con padres gays o madres lesbianas en Estados Unidos. ¿Se ven afectados por su tipo de familia? Desde la liberal Nueva York a la conservadora Texas, varios adolescentes y sus familias exponen sus experiencias y opiniones. El documental también muestra la Family Week en Provincetown, Massachussets. Se trata del encuentro anual más antiguo de familias que tienen un núcleo formado por gays, lesbianas, bisexuales o transexuales. Los adolescentes y jóvenes que participaron en 2005 comparten sus pensamientos sobre las consecuencias de tener padres gays o madres lesbianas. ¿Cómo hablan de ello con sus compañeros y vecinos? ¿A qué reacciones se enfrentan?
 
Synopsis: There are over ten milion children with gay or lesbian parents in the United States. Are their lives affected by their kind of family? From liberal New York City to conservative Texas, teenagers and their parents candidly share their experiences and insights. The documentary also shows Family Week in Provincetown, the oldest annual meeting of families with lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender parents. Many other teenagers and young adults who attended the event talked about the consequences of having lesbian or gay parents. How do they talk about it with other kids? Which reactions do they have to face?
