Biografía:
Nancy Kissam nació en Nueva York, donde escribió y dirigió varias obras de teatro y finalizó los estudios superiores de teatro en la New York University. También ha escrito y dirigido obras en Los Angeles, como su one-woman show La La, Seven Women One Mouth (Siete Mujeres, Una Voz) al que la revista LA Weekly calificó de “escrito con maestría... una interpretación llena de fuerza”.
Nancy sigue actuando por todo Los Angeles con su grupo de improvisación, The Gay Mafia (La Mafia Gay). Despegó en su carrera como guionista con su primer guión, Stone, que recibió una invitación para el Outfest’s Screenwriting Lab (festival de cine de gays y lesbianas de Los Ángeles). Poco después, su segundo guión, Drool, ganó la competición de guiones del festival Slamdance (Utah) de 2006. Durante el año 2008, el año del huracán Gustav, Nancy tuvo el placer de asociarse con Upload Films para dirigir Drool, cuyo estreno mundial tuvo lugar en Slamdance en enero de 2009.




Biography:
Nancy Kissam is a native of New York where she wrote and directed several plays and received a Master's degree in Theatre from NYU. She has written and directed work in L.A. such as her one-woman show, La La (Seven Women One Mouth) that LA Weekly called "expertly written…a forceful performance."
Nancy continues to perform all over L.A. with her improvisation troupe, The Gay Mafia. Her screenwriting career was launched with her first script, Stone, which was invited into Outfest’s Screenwriting Lab. Soon after, her second script, Drool, won the 2006 Slamdance Screenwriting Competition. In the summer of 2008, the year of Hurricane Gustav, Nancy had the pleasure of teaming up with Upload Films to direct Drool, which made its world premiere at Slamdance in January of 2009.
