Wendy Jo Carlton es realizadora, escritora y fotógrafa, con experiencia en la producción de radio, la enseñanza y el activismo mediático. Carlton es una antigua artista residente en 911 Media Arts, en Seattle y ganadora del Navona Fellowship en la Universidad de Illinois, Chicago, donde obtuvo un diploma en Cine / Nuevos medios. Su premiada narrativa y cortos experimentales han sido exhibidos internacionalmente, incluyendo el American Film Institute, Sundance y muchos otros festivales. Adicionalmente a fundar un programa literario para chicas adolescentes llamado “Chicks Make Flicks”, Carlton trabaja como productora de campaña para Sirius Radio y PBS Televisión.
Biography:
Wendy Jo Carlton is a filmmaker, writer, and photographer with a background in radio production, teaching, and media activism. Carlton is a former artist-in-residence at 911 Media Arts in Seattle and a recipient of the Navona Fellowship from the University of Illinois Chicago, where she earned a graduate degree in film/new media. Her award-winning narrative and experimental short films have screened internationally, including the American Film Institute, Sundance, and many other festivals. In addition to founding a media literacy program for teen girls called "Chicks Make Flicks", Carlton works as a field producer for Sirius Radio and PBS Television.

| Sinopsis: | Hannah y Rachel crecieron en el mismo pequeño pueblo del Medioeste, donde las tradicionales expectativas de género desafiaron, eventualmente, el profundo amor de una por la otra. | Synopsis: | Hannah and Rachel grew up as little girls in the same small Midwest town, where traditional gender expectations eventually challenge their deep love for one another. Hannah becomes an adventurous, unapologetic lesbian and Rachel a strong but quiet homemaker. Weaving back and forth between past and present, the film reveals how the women maintained their love affair despite a marriage, a world war, infidelities, and family denial.
