Nacida en Keelung, Taiwan, en 1969, Zero Chou recibió su diploma en Filosofía en la Nacional Cheng-Chi University. Trabajó como periodista antes de convertirse en realizadora independiente.
Se dedicó a la realización cinematográfica a causa de su atracción por su combinación única de forma y contenido. Comenzó su carrera trabajando en documentales, siendo nombrada como “la directora de documentales con más talento surgida en los últimos años en Taiwan”. Ha recibido varios premios en todo el mundo por sus películas: "A Film About the Body" (1966), "Floating Islands :Befote Poles Extremity" (2002) y "Timewalker" (2003).
Biography:
Born in Keelung, Taiwan in 1969, Zero Chou received her B.A. in Philosophy from Nationalm Cheng-Chi University. She worked as a journalist before becoming an independent film director.
She entered filmmaking because of her attraction to its unique combination of content and form. She began her career working in non-fiction, heralded as "the most talented documentary director to emerge in recent years in Taiwan". She has received various awards around the world for her films "A Film About The Body" (1996), "Floating Islands: Before Poles Extremity" (2002) and "Timewalker" (2003).
