Simon Pearce, que empezó a trastear con las cámaras cuando tenía 13 años, decidió abrirse hueco en la industria de este sector en lugar de ir a un centro a estudiar cine. Ha trabajado en todos los ámbitos: sonido, localizaciones, cámara y edición, en conciertos, eventos, cortos, dramas televisivos, programas de naturaleza y documentales. Por ejemplo, en “Casino Royale” (auxiliar de vídeo) y en la serie dramática de la BBC “Larkrise to Candleford” (departamento de cámaras). Sigue trabajando en sus propios proyectos y ha realizado 7 cortos. “Shank” es su debut como director de un largometraje. Trabajará junto a Christian Martin y otros compañeros en “Alpha-Male”, que se rodará este mismo año.
Biography:
Simon Pearce, who began playing with cameras since he was 13, elected to work his way up through the industry rather than go to film school. He has worked in all spheres – sound, locations, camera, and editing – on corporate and music videos, broadcast commercials, live theatre and concerts, features, shorts, television dramas, natural history programmes and documentaries, among them the feature "Casino Royale" (video assist) and the BBC TV drama series "Larkrise to Candleford" (camera department). He continues to work on his own material and has made 7 short films. "Shank" is his debut as a director of a feature film and he will reunite with Christian Martin and partners to make "Alpha-Male", to be shot later this year.

| Sinopsis: | Cal, de 18 años y miembro de una banda, tiene pocas cosas en la vida salvo las drogas, el alcohol, la violencia y cierto secreto que esconde a sus duros colegas. El sexo online con un desconocido no logra saciar el deseo por Jonno, su mejor amigo heterosexual. Un tipo duro y confundido como Jonno tampoco puede expresar su afecto por Cal. Nessa, la líder de la banda, sospecha que puede estar pasando algo. Manipulando las situaciones a la fuerza, Nessa se propone confirmar sus sospechas. |
| Synopsis: | Eighteen-year-old gang member Cal has little in his life but drugs, drinking, violence and a certain secret that he keeps hidden from his rough-and-tumble mates. An online sex hookup with an older stranger fails to quench his unspoken desire for Jonno, his straight best friend. Confused tough guy Jonno can’t express his own affection for Cal either. Nessa – their gang leader - suspects there may be something going on. Manipulating situations with brute force, Nessa sets out to confirm her suspicions and divide loyalties. |
