 Sinopsis: Spit and Ashes es una reinterpretación de la violencia histórica librada contra las mujeres por las fuerzas patriarcales en nombre de la religión, la medicina y la familia. La Suma Sacerdotisa encarna lo salvaje, lo sexual y lo grotesco: el hambre inconmensurable del deseo femenino y la máxima amenaza para el poder masculino. La Comadrona es el espíritu de todas las mujeres que buscaron conocimiento y voluntad sobre sus propios cuerpos y pagaron por su intervención con sus vidas. A través de una serie de rituales eróticos y brutales, estas mujeres se unen para recuperar sus cuerpos y prepararse para la lucha que se avecina.

Synopsis: «Spit and Ashes» is a reimagining of the historical violence waged against women by patriarchal forces in the name of religion, medicine and family. The High Priestess embodies the wild, sexual and grotesque – the un-tamable hunger of female desire and the ultimate threat to male power. The Midwife is the spirit of all women who sought knowledge and agency over their own bodies and paid for their agency with their lives. Through a series of erotic and brutal rituals these women come together to reclaim their bodies and prepare for the fight ahead.
