¿Qué es el LesGaiCineMad? / What is LesGaiCineMad?

LesGaiCineMad es el Festival Internacional de Cine Lésbico, Gai y Transexual de Madrid, que se celebrará en Madrid del 29 de Octubre al 9 de Noviembre de 2009.

Organizado por la Fundación Triángulo desde 1996, es uno de los Festivales de Cine con mayor cantidad de público de la región (Fuente: Consejería de Cultura y Turismo de la Comunidad de Madrid) y uno de los más antiguos, con más de 13 ediciones consecutivas.

Nació como una propuesta de cambio social a través de la cultura y se ha convertido en el evento cinematográfico de temática LGBT más importante de habla castellana en el mundo con más de 14.000 espectadores cada año.

LesGaiCineMad is Madrid International Lesbian, Gay and Transsexual Film Festival, that will be celebrated in Madrid from October 29th to November 9th 2009.

Organized by Fundación Triángulo since 1996, is one of the highest attended Film Festivals in the region (Source: Consejería de Cultura y Turismo de la Comunidad de Madrid) and one of the oldest, with more than 13 continuous editions.

It was born as a proposal for social change through cultura and it has becone the most important LGBT Spanish speaking film event of the world, with more than 14.000 attendants.

¿Por qué hacer voluntariado en el LesGaiCineMad? / Why doing volunteer work at LesGaiCineMad?

Es formar parte del equipo del Festival, participando de forma altruista en las tareas propias de la puesta en marcha y el desarrollo de las actividades y, al mismo tiempo, aprendiendo y compartiendo con otras personas la pasión por el cine y el cambio social.

Para ello, es imprescindible firmar un documento en el que se hace constar los derechos y deberes del voluntariado del LesGaiCineMad.

Se expedirá un Certificado que reconozca la labor de voluntariado realizada para la Fundación Triángulo en el desarrollo de las actividades relacionadas con el Festival en las áreas específicas donde este se haya desempeñado.

It is to become part of the Festival team, participating in an altruistic way in the tasks regarding the set in motion and the development of activities, and at the same time, learning and sharing with other people the passion for films and social change.

To do so, it is essential to sign a document in which you certify the rights and duties of volunteering at LesGaiCineMad.

A Certificate will be issued to aknowledge the volunteer work for the Fundación Triángulo in the development of the activities related to the Festival in the specific areas where you performed.

¿En que actividades puedo colaborar? / In which activities can I collaborate?

Podrás colaborar en áreas tan diversas como:

• Visionado de las obras a seleccionar (imprescindible el dominio del idioma inglés).
• Tareas administrativas (catalogación de materiales, responder correos de información general, logística, etcétera).
• Colaboración con el gabinete de prensa (seguimiento de comunicaciones a los medios, atención a periodistas, etcétera).
• Traducciones (especialmente desde inglés y el francés).
• Apoyo técnico en salas de exhibición (proyeccionistas, acomodadores, agentes de información, etcétera).
• Colaboración con el equipo de Relaciones Públicas (organización de eventos, fiestas, recepción de personalidades, atención a Jurados, etcétera).
• Recolección de fondos (invitando a los asistentes a las proyecciones a colaborar con los proyectos de Cooperación Internacional de la Fundación Triángulo).

You would collaborate in such diverse tasks such as:

• Screening of the works to select (being fluent in English a must).
• Administrative tastks (materials cataloguing, general information mail reply, logistic, etcetera).
• Collaboration with the press office (media communication following, journalists service, etcetera).
• Translations (specially from English and French).
• Tech support at venues (projectionists, usherers, information agents, etcetera).
• Collaboration with the PR team (events organization, parties, personalities reception, jury service, etcetera).
• Fund recollection (inviting attendants at the projections to collaborate with the International Cooperation projects from Fundación Triángulo).

¿Qué ventajas tiene el voluntariado? / What are the advantages of volunteer work?

Podrás obtener invitaciones a las Galas (inaugural y de clausura) y entradas gratuitas para las proyecciones cinematográficas que componen el LesGaiCineMad. Asimismo, contarás con pases VIP para las fiestas y los productos del merchandising oficial (camiseta, catálogo, publicaciones).

Además, participarás de sorteos por cenas, libros, películas y muchas sorpresas más.

Más de cincuenta amantes del cine forman parte de nuestro equipo año a año. Si aún no lo has hecho, anímate y anima a tus amigos a formar parte del Festival de Cine LGBT más grande de España.

You will get invitations to the Galas (opening and closing sessions) and free tickets to film screenings that are part of LesGaiCineMad. You will also recieve VIP passes for the parties and official merchandise (t-shirt, catalogue, publications).

Besides, you will participate in draws for dinner invitations, books, films and many other surprises.
