Sinopsis: Tomás se ve obligado a volver al pueblo del que siempre quiso salir y al que nunca quiso volver. Allí vivirá una realidad que no le corresponde, enfrentándose a antiguos y nuevos fantasmas.

Synopsis: Circumstances have forced Tomás to return to the village he wanted to leave behind forever. Now he must struggle with a reality he refuses to live, where new difficulties join the ones he thought he had fled.

Biografía: Alejandro Durán, director y guionista, es natural de Tarifa pero adoptado por Madrid. Será en Berlín donde comience a dedicarse a distintas disciplinas creativas como la producción teatral, el videoarte la escritura y el cine, que aborda siempre desde un punto de vista intimista, reivindicativo y muy personal. Tras trabajar con Bruce LaBruce y Cheryl Dunne dirige su primer cortometraje “Beastgarden” y crea su productora Das Tier. De vuelta a España dirige el cortometraje “Sígueme” (Mejor Corto Español en LesGaiCineMad 2011). Tras unos años trabajando en la universidad alejado de procesos creativos vuelve con su película más significativa, “Grávido”.

Biography: Alejandro Durán, director and scriptwriter, was born in Tarifa but found his home in Madrid. It was in Berlin however where he began his work in various creative disciplines, such as theatrical production, videoartistry, writing, and cinema; all of which he approaches from the perspective of intimacy and self affirmation. After working alongside the likes of Bruce LaBruce and Cheryl Dunne, Durán directed his first short «Beastgarden» and founded his first production company, Das Tier. Having returned to Spain he directed the short «Sígueme» (Best Spanish Short of LesGaiCineMad 2011). After a number of years working in university education, isolated from creative processes, he has returned with his most significant work yet, «Grávido».
