5 Pulgadas sigue el día a día de un grupo de hombres gais que viven en Madrid y que han integrado las aplicaciones móviles de contacto, como herramienta principal para interactuar con otros hombres.

5’’ follows the lives of a group of gay men living in Madrid whose interactions with other men result almost exclusively from contact initiated on phone apps. This intimate portrayal is a reflection of the hybrid world in which we live, at the intersection of reality and the virtual world, and shows us how these apps affect the dating panorama, fostering à la carte relationships and individuality. In this entwined but fragmented landscape, how do we integrate dating apps into our daily lives?

Biografía / Biography

Rosana Lorente, nacida en Zaragoza vivió en Londres durante 9 años donde trabajó como ayudante de producción para la productora Beyond Fiction hasta que en 2012 se muda a Madrid. Ya en Madrid estudia en La Factoría del Guión con Pedro Loeb y Javier Rodríguez de Fonseca y Formación Integral de Directores de Cine y TV de la escuela de cine y teatro Metrópolis especializándose en dirección, guión, producción y montaje. Ha escrito, dirigido y montado varios cortometrajes y proyectos teatrales, entre los que destacan el cortometraje “Play Dead For Me” con Jaime Jones, el microteatro “Arena Blanca” como guionista y dramaturga y el cortometraje “Putas Ironías” como guionista y directora.

Rosana Lorente was born in Zaragoza, Spain; and lived in London during 9 years where she worked as a production assistant for the film production of Beyond Fiction. Until 2012 when she moved to Madrid. Once residing in the city she studied at the Factoria del Guion with Pedro Loeb and Javier Rodriguez de fonseca, and also in the Integral Formation of Film and Tv at the acting and theater School Metropolis, specializing herself in directing, scripture, production and cinematographic montage. She has written, directed and done cinematographic montage in several short films and theater projects. Among one of her highlights in short films are Play Dead For Me, with Jaime Jones; the micro theater Arena Blanca as screenwriter and playwright, an also on the short film Putas Ironias as screenwriter and film producer.

Pedro Moitinho, natural de Lisboa, vive desde el 2000 en Madrid. Titulado en Bellas Artes por la Glasgow School of Art becado por la Fundación Calouste Gulbenkian. Estudia fotografía e Historia del arte en ArCo, Lisboa, y hace el Programa Independiente de Estudios de la escuela Maumaus en Lisboa, donde además imparte clases de fotografía. Participa en el Curso Superior de Arte Visual de la Fondazione Antonio Ratti con el artista Allan Kaprow en Como, Italia. Colabora en diversas exposiciones colectivas en Reino Unido, Francia y Portugal.  Su primera exposición individual tiene lugar en el Museu do Chiado en Lisboa en 1998. Desde 2011 se dedica exclusivamente a lo audiovisual. Estudia guión en La Factoría del Guión en Madrid y la Formación Integral de Directores de Cine y TV de la escuela de cine y teatro Metrópolis C.E. Participa en varias producciones audiovisuales como productor, director, guionista, operador de cámara, entre otras funciones entre las que se destacan varios filmes publicitarios para Jaguar como ayudante de dirección de Jamie Jones, en la posproducción de Play Dead For Me y en Dual como operador de cámara.

Pedro Moitinho, native of Lisboa, Portugal, has resided in Madrid since the year 2000. having is Fine Arts degree done at the University of Glasgow School of Art with the help of scholarship given by the Calouste Gulbenkian foundation. He studied Photography and History Arts at ArCo, Lisboa, and also works for the independent Program of studies at the Maumaus School as well located in Lisboa, where he teaches classes of photography. He also participates in the Superior Course of Visual Arts of the Fondazione Antonio Ratti with artist Allan Kaprow in Como, Italia. He also collaborates in different Collective Expositions in United Kingdom, France and Portugal. His first individual exposition was placed at the Museu do Chiado in Lisbon, and was on the year 1998. Ever since 2011, he is exclusively dedicated to the AudioVisual Arts. He studies Scripture at Factoria del Guion located in Madrid and also in the Integral Formation of Film and Tv at the acting and theater School Metropolis C.E. He also participates in several Audiovisual productions as the Productor, Director, Screenwriter, Camera Operator and among other functions which his productions have become highlights. Several advertising films for Jaguar working as the director assistant of Jamie Jones, and in the Post-production of Play Dead For Me and Dual as the camara operator.
