Sinopsis: Santi y Jota son dos chicos de barrio, amigos de toda la vida. Como muchos, ninguno estudia ni trabaja, y su vida suele pasar entre litronas en el parque y comentar cuál de sus amigas está más buena. Pero a Jota parece preocuparle algo.
Synopsis: Santi and Jota are two guys living in the outskirts of Madrid. Like many others, they have decided not to study or work and they spend their precious time drinking beer cans in the park. But Jota seems a little bit worried about something.

Biografía: Carlos Ruano se muda a Madrid para estudiar un Máster en Guión dado su amor por el cine. Tras graduarse, empieza a trabajar como guionista en series como Física o Química, Vive Cantando o Cuéntame un Cuento. En 2006, dirige y produce Dulces, su primer cortometraje, en el que aborda la temática LGBTI; una temática recurrente en sus futuros trabajos. Más adelante, y con la ayuda de Zampano Producciones, dirige Turno de Noche, seleccionada en más de treinta festivales internacionales. Piscina es su tercer corto como director, guionista y productor.
Biography: The love for films made Carlos Ruano move to Madrid to study a Screenplay Writing Postgradute Degree. After graduating, he started working as a screenwriter on notorious Spanish TV shows such as ‘Física o Química’, ‘Vive Cantando’ or ‘Cuéntame un Cuento’. In 2006 he made the leap into film direction and film production with ‘Dulces’, a short movie which represents his first attempt to deal with the LGBTI issue, a recurring theme in later works. Later, with the help of Zampano Producciones, he directed ‘Turno de Noche’, selected in more than thirty international film festivals. ‘Piscina’ is his third short film as director, producer and screenwriter.
